About Kerrin Kokot
Kerrin has worked as a writer, director, editor, production manager and producer on a wide range of local and international productions. Some of her credits include animatic editing a series by DNEG/ReDefine, animatic editing four episodes of the hit series SupaStrikas by Strika Entertainment, working as one of the animatic editors on Triggerfish Animation's feature film Seal Team, and assembly editing the multiple award winning, Oscar-nominated BBC special films Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes. From 2017-2018 she worked as animatic editor, assembly editor and production manager on a high end feature proof-of-concept film at Sunrise Productions where she learned best practice story and pipeline techniques from ex Disney and Blue Sky supervisors. Kerrin holds an MFA in Film and Television from the University of Cape Town and taught editing at AFDA and Big Fish School of Digital Filmmaking for a few years. She sat on the Animation South Africa board and South African Guild of Editors board hosting panel discussions, running workshops and representing the industry at local and international events. Based between London and Cape Town, Kerrin now co-runs Just Films which produces docs, animation and fiction films that serve a just cause.
